Identifying the strengths, skills and weaknesses of each player on a team is key to great results. Our comprehensive profiling session may include a combination of movement screening, body composition analysis, sprint & change of direction profiling, jump profiling and strength & power testing. We can also conduct a wide range of fitness test protocols including variations of the intermittent recovery test, maximal aerobic speed tests, and/or repeat sprint tests such as the phosphate decrement or the R.A.S.T test.
The strength and conditioning specialists at AXSOM break down data from this profiling process to design and deliver specific training programmes that meet the needs of the individual, team and sport. The underlying objective is to develop faster, stronger and more resilient injury free athletes using a wide range of training components. Movement preparation, movement skills, plyometric/med ball training, strength, and energy systems development are all key components of our performance plans. We schedule these plans to compliment the squad training calendar to ensure optimal performance at key stages of the season.
COMMUNICATION & MONITORING
Through player interaction with our mobile application, our coaches can monitor the training load & response of each athlete. Even simple training load or wellness questionnaires can provide data which may assist in the design of future sessions and help shape adjustments to the training plan.
Our extensive weekly reporting ensures that progress is maximised during each phase of the performance plan. We can respond to squad completion reports, progress reports, sports science data and opt out notes (eg injury/lack of equipment) in record time to make the adjustments required to keep players on track.
Most importantly – Although athletes have immediate access to demonstration videos and instructions, and all from the one mobile App.. we are just a quick message away for any issues, questions or concerns.
We’ve partnered with Evan Regan Nutrition to bring performance nutrition to the teams & athletes we support. Through this partnership, and by utilising the capabilities of the AXSOM Sports mobile application, we can now deliver the highest standards of nutritional coaching right alongside our athletic training plans. As with all AXSOM performance plans, the nutritional information provided to each player is tailored to training and body composition objectives and specific to the training phase and stage of the competitive season.
